Intelligence vs. Wisdom
We’ve all seen examples of so-called “nutty professors.” People who have an amazing amount of book knowledge but can’t remember where the car keys are; can explain non-fungible tokens and nanotechnology yet forget their spouse’s birthday.
I once wanted to know the contents of all the books in our college library (I was a budding philosopher after all 😊) and one of my professors said that it would be a waste of space in my head. “Ask yourself,” he continued, “why they wrote the books and those answers will make you wise.”
